Acoustic Systems, Rocksteady Networks, and Spinal Concepts select VisionEdge Marketing for qualitative market research, professional marketing training, and positioning strategy for greater revenue potential.
November 5, 2003, Austin, TX – VisionEdge Marketing, Inc., a metrics-based strategic and product marketing services firm, announced today three new customers: Acoustic Systems, Rocksteady Networks, and Spinal Concepts, an Abbot Laboratories company. All three Austin-based firms selected VisionEdge Marketing to drive successful marketing strategies and enhance marketing skills.
VisionEdge Marketing worked collaboratively with these customers to improve their odds of successfully marketing their business. Rocksteady ( http://www.rocksteady.com/ ), a provider of security solutions for both wired and wireless networks, relied on VisionEdge Marketing’s research capabilities to conduct in-depth interviews to assess the needs, pain points, preferences, and market strategies of wireless service providers.
“We wanted a systematic, thorough, and cost-effective research effort that would provide us with better insight into the market,” said Kerry Grimes, vice president of business development, Rocksteady Networks. As a result of VisionEdge Marketing’s work, we were able to gain much needed insight into the market opportunity.”
In addition to identifying good market opportunities, accurate positioning is a key part of any successful marketing effort. Acoustic Systems (http://www.acousticsystems.com) which is a division of ETS-Lindgren, an ESCO Technologies Company, selected VisionEdge Marketing to recommend a positioning strategy for one of its newer product lines that would enable the company to gain ground on two entrenched competitors.
“While we are an established company, we’re a relatively new player to certain industrial segments,” said Steve Dutton, managing director of Acoustic Systems. “We are aggressively attempting to increase our market penetration and wanted to work with a company with a proven track record and deep marketing experience. We selected VisionEdge Marketing to help us develop a strategy to achieve our objectives. As part of the process we have gained valuable insight in the market’s perception of the players in our space and the factors that influence purchasing decisions.”
There’s value in using external marketing expertise. There is also great value in enabling people to continuously hone their skills. This was the case for Spinal Concepts (http://www.spinalconcepts.com/), a medical device company that provides spinal implants. VisionEdge Marketing provided comprehensive marketing training to a very capable technical marketing team.
“We decided to invest in on-site marketing training to arm our technical marketing people with the models, tools, and thinking processes necessary for effective strategic marketing,” said Todd Fanning, vice president of sales and marketing for Spinal Concepts. “We selected VisionEdge Marketing because of their stellar reputation as a marketing practitioner and a marketing trainer.”
